Broker checks / Scam warning
Our verdict: avoid depositing
NovaForex has not earned your trust.
Unverified accountability and reported platform defects leave too many unanswered questions about the service holding your money. Choose a broker whose identity, permissions and trading terms you can check.

Which NovaForex does this warning cover?
This article concerns the Nova Forex trading platform at novaforex.trading. Check that address against the site you are using. A similar business name is not enough to connect a company to a complaint, licence or review. In its NovaForex assessment, daytrading.com reported that it could not verify the operating company, a brokerage licence linked to the domain or the arrangements for holding customer money. Those are basic questions a deposit-taking trading business should answer before asking for funds.
Is NovaForex licensed?
NovaForex did not appear under that name in the Kenyan Capital Markets Authority’s non-dealing online forex broker list or dealing online forex broker list checked for this article. That is a defined register check, not proof that every possible company name and jurisdiction has been searched. If the platform claims a licence under another name, require the exact legal entity and licence number, then ask the regulator to confirm the website and permitted service. A company-registration certificate does not establish permission to provide brokerage services.
Check the permission, not the badge
Match the company, website and product against the regulator’s own records. A licence belonging to another business provides no protection. Nor does permission for one activity automatically cover every trading product sold under the same brand.
The CMA has warned about investing through unlicensed providers and the loss of protections available under its regulatory framework. That is general guidance, not a NovaForex enforcement notice. Do not mistake a register gap for a criminal conviction, or the absence of a named warning for approval.
What published platform tests found
A September 2026 investigation by brokerlistings.com reported the following findings. These describe its tests, not a fresh audit of today’s platform.
| Reported finding | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| 10-second contracts on GLOBAL/USD | Reviewers described binary-style trading on an asset with an unexplained price source. |
| Missing trade records | The trade-history panel reportedly stayed empty after 55 trades. Customers need retrievable order and settlement records. |
| Unanswered support queries | Reviewers reported 14 unanswered queries, including questions about ownership and regulation. |
| Withdrawal messages | Repeated names appeared in on-screen payout announcements. These messages were not independently verified payments. |
The pricing issue deserves particular attention. A proprietary instrument needs a published pricing method and settlement rules. If you cannot establish what determines the result, you cannot meaningfully check a disputed trade against the contract. A moving chart supplies no answer. The burden belongs with the provider to explain and document its product.
Withdrawal claims need independent evidence
A dashboard balance records what a website displays. It does not establish that the money can reach your bank or wallet. Look for dated withdrawal requests, payment receipts and an explanation of unresolved delays. Review the exact domain, too: complaints about another “Nova” business should not be recycled as evidence against this platform. Reviews can help identify patterns, but anonymous praise and anonymous accusations both need scrutiny. A referral link gives a reviewer a reason to obtain your signup; ask how that reviewer is paid.
Does one successful withdrawal prove a platform is safe?
No. The FCA describes scams that initially deliver returns before encouraging larger payments. That is a general fraud pattern, not proof of what happened to a particular NovaForex customer. Do not deposit into a suspect platform just to test a withdrawal.
Separate a bad trade from a dishonest service
Losing money does not, by itself, prove a scam. Neither does a broker acting as counterparty, charging disclosed fees or offering a properly explained synthetic instrument. Deception concerns false promises, concealed conditions or a service that fails to do what was agreed. Our recommendation to avoid NovaForex rests on unresolved accountability and the reported operational concerns above. You do not need a court judgment before deciding that a provider has failed your checks.
| Evidence worth seeking | Reasons to stop |
|---|---|
| A regulator record matching the operator and website. | A badge or certificate that cannot be matched to the service. |
| Written pricing, payout and withdrawal conditions. | Pressure to deposit before you can inspect the agreement. |
| Records that let you reconstruct each transaction. | Profit screenshots offered instead of a usable account history. |
Already deposited with NovaForex?
Stop adding money while the concerns remain unresolved. Request a withdrawal through the account route you already use and save the confirmation. Ask for a written explanation of any refusal or delay. A request for identity documents is different from a demand to make another investment. Do not hand over banking passwords, one-time security codes or remote access to your device.
Step 01
Save your evidence
Keep the exact domain, receipts, recipient details, messages, trade records and withdrawal requests. Save the terms and any promises made before payment.
Step 02
Contact the payment provider
Contact your bank or mobile-money provider promptly. If you paid through M-Pesa, use Safaricom’s official support. Ask about available dispute or recovery options; a refund is not guaranteed.
Step 03
Report suspected deception
Kenyan readers can use the CMA’s complaints and fraud-reporting routes. Give dates and supporting records. Elsewhere, contact your local regulator and fraud-reporting authority.
Step 04
Reject recovery promises
Do not send fresh money for an unexplained release fee or a guaranteed recovery. The FCA warns that victims can be targeted again by people offering to recover their losses.
